Click on the links to hear midi-files of the following pieces: Three Scenes from a Mountain for Soprano Saxophone and Piano- 1st Movement - "Moving aside the clouds to reveal the Sun". It was written for and first performed by the Scottish saxophonist Susan McKenzie, and has since received many performances from several saxophonists, in many locations ranging from Ireland to China. It has been recorded on the Foxglove label by Richard Ingham and Mary McArthy. Wind Quintet - 1st Movement - "Allegro" This was commissioned by the Edinburgh quintet Quintessence, with funds provided by the Royal Bank of Scotland, and has since received many performances by several quintets. Songs and Dances for Chamber Orchestra - 4th Movement - "Reel". This was premiered by the New Edinburgh Orchestra conducted by Tim Paxton in the summer of 2005.
